Farewell...

Tue Oct 13, 2009, 4:45 PM
i haven't really been active here in months, and i doubt i will be for a while. Am going through a tough time at the moment, so will be removing all my previous deviations from the site and probably won't be on again.

It was a pleasure meeting you all though.

Should you need me, i'll be checking here for the next 2 weeks so you can note me for msn detaila or facebook details should you want then :)

Take care and much love as always,

Lindsay

Need sleep...

Wed Nov 12, 2008, 3:14 AM
Ok, wow, over 2 months since my last update and not much has changed. My laptop is still dead and I am not having the pennies to get a new one yet :crying:. My birthday was awesome! I got like 4 cakes and lots of celebrating, lasted over a week. :giggle: (Yes, I milked it.).

I passed my 2 resits and I'm in my final year of university. It's weird to think that I've been here for 2 years now! And final year is soo hard. I seem to have no time due to insane amounts of reading to do. I started lectures at the very end of September and I've already handed in 3 bits of coursework :faint: I'm aiming to get a 2.1 in my degree so it's going to be a long year!! I also got promoted to bar supervisor at work... PAY RISE!!! Whoop! It's not much but I'm still enjoying it and I get to tell people what to do :evillaugh:

Other than work and university I spend most of my time sleeping. Lol. That and playing Little Big Planet... I'm addicted to it. :giggle: Going to see Kanye West in concert on Monday and then the Kings of Leon next month :excited:

I'm trying to be as active as I can but limited internet access makes it a tad difficult! Lol. Despite that I do read all the journals I can and look at your deviations so keep them coming!

Where's summer?

Fri Sep 5, 2008, 5:45 AM
Well, had my last resit today and well.. it wasn't great but there we go. Also, my laptop is le dead... As in it won't even start in safe mode so I will be offline for a while. :(

What's with all the rain by the way? Summer? Pfft, it doesn't exist. It's been raining in Manchester for almost 24 hours now. Not cool at all.

21 next week and I'm freaking out abit. Want to stay 20 forever. Lol. Going out in fancy dress to celebrate and i'm off out as... A leprechaun.

Bit of a useless update from me but there we go. Was mainly to tell you that I'm not going to be here much for a long time. :(

Till then
TTFN!

10K + Summer

Tue Jul 22, 2008, 8:55 AM
Wow, I came on today to find I got 10K. I'm not going to make a huge deal out of it, but thank you all my watchers for your support, comments and most of all friendship. Special thanks to `love4art, `zetab, `nyssi,=ahollowvoice, ~Yveske and =EpharGy. You guys have been awesome and I love you all loads.

So, summer 2008 is upon us. So far I haven't really done much at all. Went home for 3 weeks which was a nice break from Manchester. Since I've been back all I've been doing is working really. I did go to see Death Cab For Cutie in concert though which was AMAZING!! :excited:

I do have 2 resits for uni at the end of August/start of September so I've been doing lots of revision for those lately... When I'm not working that is. Otherwise I don't really have any plans. I turn 21 in September which is quite scary really. :giggle: Should be good when we go out to celebrate though. :D

How's everyone else's summers going though? Lovely I hope! :aww:

P.S I know my journals are rubbish at the moment, but I can never think of stuff to say in them.

Random rambling

Wed Jun 4, 2008, 5:51 AM
Hello all!

Thought it was about time I updated this thing seeing as it has been ages. My exams finished almost a month ago and they went ok. I'm definately sure I'm going to have to resit a couple of them though. Ah well! I have also moved to my new flat with my mate Chris. It's gorgeous and once I have some sort of working camera I can take photos. I really love this place though and we're going to be getting the internet sorted next week so I should be around more often then.

Other than that, I've not really been doing much. Have been working most of the time, did a 44 hour week the other week and have had no money as the tax man decided to rob me of most of it! :shakefist: Surprisingly though, we've had fairly nice weather in the UK lately. I went to Liverpool for the day last week and managed to get sunburnt! God knows what I'm going to be like when I go back home for 3 weeks later this month. :excited:

Obviously as I've been so busy, my message centre have been overloaded. I currently have 159 deviations and 69 other messages :faint:. When I have time, I do often just come on and read journals but most of the time I don't have the time to comment, however `nyssi's journal about commenting is one that has stuck in my mind.

I do find that there are times where I will just fav a deviation and not comment, it's not that I can't think of a comment and by faving it I can easily find it to go back and comment at a later date. I find it really upsetting when my work gets more favourites than comments. At the end of the day, I personally submit my work on here in the hope that other talented people will give me feedback, whether positive or negative, so that I can improve myself. I enjoy having people tell me how I can improve, it's like a mini challenge. Yet, if people don't leave comments then I never know if I'm improving or not. Even a simple "Great shot" or "great use of depth" type comment means more to me than getting a favourite. If you are going to fav a piece of work, then tell that person why you are going to fav it. What do you love about it? Is there anything you'd do differently? That's just my personal opinion though.

Till later days!
